How quickly can I get my detailing shop set up on Hive Detail?

Most shops are up and running in under 30 minutes. Just add your services, bays, and team members. We'll import your existing customer data if needed. Our setup wizard guides you through everything step-by-step.

Does it work for mobile detailing or just brick-and-mortar shops?

Hive Detail works perfectly for both! Mobile detailers can schedule appointments by location instead of bays, track travel time, and manage multiple service areas. The customer management and invoicing features work the same way.

Can my technicians use this on tablets while working on cars?

Absolutely! The tech checklist is designed for tablets and phones. Techs can mark tasks complete, capture before/after photos, and add upsells right from the device. It works offline too, so no WiFi worries in the shop.

How does the pricing work? Do I pay per bay or per employee?

Our pricing is per location, not per bay or employee. Whether you have 2 bays or 10, 1 employee or 20, you pay the same monthly rate. This scales with your business as you grow.

What if my customers don't want to give reviews?

The review system is completely automatic and optional. Happy customers (4+ stars) get directed to Google Reviews to help your business. Unhappy customers go to a private feedback form so you can address issues directly. No pressure, just better reputation management.

Can I export my data if I need to switch systems later?

Yes! You own your data. Export all customers, jobs, and payment history as CSV files anytime. We also provide API access for more advanced integrations with accounting software or other tools you use.

Do you integrate with QuickBooks or other accounting software?

Our CSV export is formatted to import directly into QuickBooks, Xero, and most accounting platforms. We're also building direct integrations - QuickBooks Online is coming in Q3 2025.

What about payment processing? Do I need to switch credit card companies?

You can keep your existing payment processor if you prefer. We also offer integrated Stripe payments with competitive rates (2.9% + 30¢) and instant deposits. The choice is yours.

Is my customer data secure? What about backups?

Your data is encrypted, backed up multiple times daily, and stored on enterprise-grade servers. We're SOC 2 compliant and follow the same security standards as banks. Your customer information is safer than keeping it in spreadsheets.

Do you offer training or support for my team?

Yes! Every plan includes unlimited email support, video tutorials, and live chat help. For teams of 5+, we provide free onboarding calls and team training sessions to get everyone comfortable with the system.
